selected to deliver at TMC after obtaining good feedback from friends. However, i have over-estimate it and have below unpleasant experiences :
Horrifying experience via C-section
My unpleasant journey starts after Doc have break my water bags and left laying in my own amniotic fluid for long hours. As i did not managed to dilate hence go into emergency C-section. I have opt for epidural however i can feel very single stretch and pull from the operation. What worst i can feel the pain and cried through out the operation.
Honestly, during my 1st C-section i dun feel a single things but DO NOT understand why this round i can feel the pull and pains. Was the dosage of epidural insufficient?
Inconsiderate Room Mate
Have selected to stay in 2 beded ward as hubby not going to stay over. So was sharing the room with this "Chinese" lady, think she simply do not understand English as she keep "playing" with the light buttons for the first and second nights. Then on the third night, to avoid light shining on her baby during breastfeeding, she 'ON' all light except her reading light. So the passage light keep shining into my bed. Also on the third day morning, she keep calling her husband repeatly in the morning to pick some medication for her cough then her husband keep calling her to ask any other thing she wants. Imagine i was awake by the phone ringing and their loud conservation .
Unpleasant experiences in the Hospital
In general all staffs are helpful and friendly except for the below :
1) Housekeeping maid
Every morning, the housekeeping maid will not knock or greet us while entering the room. She will just march into the room and head straight to the toilet to clean. Of course with alot of noise in the morning (7am) while we are still sleeping. Then she will come to our bed to do brief cleaning but there are still rubbish under the bed. So wonder what is she trying to clean.
2) Old Nurse
Was out of bed on the 3rd day. While trying to retreive some stuff from the wardrobe. There was this old nurse just force open the wardrobe door to make space for herself to squeeze in between me and the bed (If you have stay/visit TMC bed before, the gap was very narrow). As i can't stand up straight she just push me inward to the wardrode. At this point, I was screaming in pains then took a quick U-turn and repeat the step to get out the room. In the end i didn't even have a chance to stop her or know how she look like.
3) Workshop
Was looking forward to join in the Breastfeeding Workshop. However, on the actual day we were not told the workshop have been replaced by Music therapy. So disappointing.
4) Wrong Instruction
Doc have ordered binder for me so that it helps to relieve the pains. However, the nurse who put up the binder have placed it too near to my scar. End up i suffered more pain than relieve.
5) Messy Nursery and Rude Nurse
Went into nursery room to fetch Baby Renee. While the nurse was explaining the way to clean the baby and verifing baby's information then she just left the folder on the baby's stomach and bang the baby's trollies with babies in it.
While waiting for Baby Renee to finish her milk hence chat with the assistant nurse. Suddenly, there's this nurse from next table start telling me not to ask any more question or talk as she can't concentrate. Then I tell her that i'm not talking to her. But she just repeated herself then ask me why i'm inside the nursery room and this is my baby. Of course, i'm waiting for my baby else who i'm waiting for. Besides, i tell her off that if no one should be in the nursery then why other nurse ask me to wait inside the nursery. Besides, if no talking is allow in the nursery where is the sign board??
One word "RUDE" if can't work in nursery due to constant crying from babies then move to another department.
6) Wrong invoice
Couple of days after discharge, get hubby to show me the invoice then realised they have invoice me the wrong package. Hence have to go back to the hospital to get refund.
Waste time.
7) No Medication
No Medication(Pain killer) was given to me upon discharged. End up just take the painkillers at home.
Based on these events, think the hospital is shortage of staffs and lack in communication. Honestly, i will not go back or recommend this hospital.
