Arrival of Renee Kwok Xun Ling on 26th July 2010

EDD was on 08.08.2010 but doctor suggested me to deliver early given my first experience. Hence, selected 28.07.2010 to deliver via C-section but on 21.07.2010 doctor said that i most probably will deliver within this week. After discussion with Dr Koh, we decided to wait for the 'Sign' from the baby and try for natural birth else stick to 28.07.2010.
On 25th July midnight, started to feel some contraction and it become more and more frequent but not intense enough for me to shout out for pains. The contraction when on from 1am till 5am before i wake up hubby to tell him about the contraction. After some discussion, Hubby suggested that i should go to the hospital. So quickly clean up and have a light breakfast before leaving to the hospital.
Journey of the Labour
Arrived at TMC ard 6am then proceed to Observation ward to wait for doctor instruction. At the ward, the nurse found i'm at early delivery stage as i'm only 2cm dilated and with inconsistant contraction(10 to 15mins apart and no intense contraction trace). However, Dr Koh instructed the nurse to let me try for natural delivery hence move me to the delivery ward for monitoring.
From 6.30am to 8.30am, the contraction still between 10 to 15mins aparts but no intense contraction trace. Dr Koh arrived at 9am and suggested to break my water bag to encourage quicker dilation. But after 12hrs of waiting, more great improvement hence Dr Koh suggested that i shall proceed with C-section as my cervix refused to dilate more than 5cm.
Finally, we see our baby girl - Renee Kwok via C-section after trying for 14hrs.
