Lame excuse from maid

13th day into her job(27/02) and we have the below conversation.

PART I
Maid: Mdm, i can't handle Ian.
Me: Why?
Maid: Ian don't listen to me.
Me: What do you means Ian don't listen to you?
Maid: Send me back to agent.
Me: huh!
Maid: Ian don't listen to me and he don't follow me?
Me: Okay... but why must Ian follow you?
Maid: Send me back to agent.
Me: Don't understand as Ian only at home after 7pm daily and weekends.
Maid: (Keep quiet and started to tear...)
Me: Besides, you are here only 2wks and Ian are not familiar with you yet.
Maid: ( Keep quiet again....)
Me: Okay then. Will send you back to agent
Maid: (Slight relax and stop tearing) Can i pack now?
Me: No. Very late now (note almost 11pm) do it tomorrow and i need to talk to sir and agent.
Maid: Okay mdm, can i now go to sleep.
Me: Okay

Honestly, was not angry just very confused with the maid. Why she give such an lame excuse?
Can understand she missed home and her daugther of 1plus? If so, why bother to waste money and other's money/times? Besides, i'm very worry she will run away in the middle of the nights or do something on my family. Hence, decided to send her back to agent the following day.
(hmm... Think my temper have mallow down alot, given in the past i will definitely jumped on her and scold her. But this round i simply very calm and walk away from her)

PART II
Normally will wake up slightly late on Saturday morning but I wake up 8am sharp.
Then, found her fully packed and finished a few housechore.

Maid: Morning, Mdm
Me: Morning, already packed? need to see what in it? Can you take out and re-pack again?
Maid: Yes, mdm (take out one by one very slowly)
Me: Thought you told me you have no enough clothes why now your bags are full.
Maid: (Quiet and continue to unpack one by one)
Me: (Just sit and see her unpack everything)
Maid: Mdm, okay
Me: Okay, go change and will send you back to agent
Maid: Yes, mdm

Then i told Ian that the aunty will be leaving us today. My little boy asked me why? Just tell him that aunty missed her baby. Then Ian approached the aunty and she simply look at him without answer him. This really make me unhappy with her attitude.

Part III
Son: Aunty, why you go?
Maid: (Just look at Ian without answer and trying to walk away)
Son: Aunty, why?
Maid: (Just stand there and no response)
Son: Mummy, why aunty don't talk?
Me: Aunty, want to go home and see her baby.
Son: But why aunty don't talk?? (Raising his voice)
Me: Don't know. Maybe she can't talk today.
Son: Okay lor (Walk away and watch his TV programme)

This have make me even more determined to send her back home rather transfer her out. Then from home till agent's place, when Ian talk to her she simply just smile without answer. Sigh. What is wrong with these people?

The minutes step into the agent's place i felt that the maid will be "blacklisted". Because, the agent were scolding a batch of maid when i step in. This is not going to be easy for the maid.

Agent: (Turn at me and smile) Yes mdm, What can i do for you?
Me: Maid don't want to work with me anymore. She said that my son don't listen to her.
Agent: What! (Turned and stared at the maid with her eye super widen) Why don't want to work?
Maid: Can't as the boy don't listen to me.
Agent: How long you are here? 2wks only. Should spend more time to adapt. (Gradually increase her voice) The boy goes to childcare from 7am to 7pm, you also can't handle? You married (flipping the document and check). You married...you better don't marry. You don't even know how to take care others. You stupid.
Maid: (Started to tear)
Agent: (Turn to me) Do you want to keep her till new replacement come in?
Me: No, she already no heart to work. Later she run away, don't want to take the risk. Besides, she also asked me for handphone.
Agent: (Think she really mad) LEA!!!, what's wrong with you? Job offer already told you "NO HANDPHONE" and you still asked? When given to you? You can't handle the boy? You think you in philippines? Handphone you pay? you have money? (maid keep shaking her head) You can't give and take? You better don't work and go back. Waste money. You think air ticket free? I will make sure you pays for the losses and BLACKLIST you from entering Singapore again to work. You really have no brains...only need to take care of the house, look after the boy for couple hours and No elderly at home.....still can't do the job. You know you are Filpino not indonesian. Even indonesian know very little english are much hard working then you and try their best to do their job. YOU... think you are in philippines, don't want to work then don't work? Really brainless. You better don't have kid as you can't handle a small boy. Why are your hair so long? will cut them short. From now, will not treat you like a human being. You better think what you want to do.


Honestly, i can't remember all as she have being scolding her for at least 10mins. My brain capacity can't stored all these high pitched noise. Infact, i was taken back that the agent are so fierce to the maid. (Thought i was fierce, the agent are even more fierce then me)

According to agent, they have no choice to scold the maid else the maid don't respect and listen to the agents. And they can't employer if approached. Quite true, think the maid really regret on this. Sigh, no turning back as it will not going to be a pleasant relationship after this. So have to moved on and select another maid.

All i can said "Better luck next time and get a better maid to help out"
